According to a land registry data, the first quarter of 2022 saw property transactions in Cyprus approach €1.3 billion. The figures show that 5,258 properties were sold in total during this time in Cyprus, with a total transaction value of €1.272 billion.
As to be expected, the majority of real estate transactions take place in Limassol and Nicosia, while the Real Estate Registration Council also remarked that things are going well in the other districts.
The data, according to the council, confirms the significant interest in land acquisition, given the high demand for agricultural fields, plots, and other types of land. In addition, the figures reveal a much higher demand for residences, which was also seen last year.
